Happy Holidays and early New Year! I come bearing the themes for the first month of the new year.


I decided to exercise a little hometown pride - all themes this month are from my favorite band, The Clarks. They have a pretty big following locally, but I'm always of the opinion that more people should know who they are, and they have a neat way of twisting a lyric, hence why I thought they'd make a good theme list.

January 1: God save the snowman
January 2: sultry, dirty, soft and hard

January 7: maybe in our circle, square pieces never fit

January 11: fine line, between love and alibis
January 12: let me know what she looks like at dawn
January 13: even if your broken heart’s a hundred miles wide
January 14: and by the time the ceiling hits the ground
January 15: all my dreams turned blue
January 16: cauterize my feelings with your flaming tongue
January 17: good guys all the villains zero
January 18: what's left behind leaves one less thing to pass
January 19: fear is real, a disease
January 20: it reeks of love gone sour, suspicion and bad debt
January 21: he takes the pain with his coffee
January 22: tired and pleasure bound
January 23: it was never our lives in a song that I never penned
January 24: right past the jury to the promised land
January 25: the little stars upon your skin
January 26: there's a penny on the floor and you're gone
January 27: when the devil starts to sweat
January 28: with a bad man at a good time
January 29: pulls you back to daylight from the deep dark blue
January 30: your faith reads like fiction now
January 31: we will shine like electric lights
