[August 31] [Apollo Justice] A Public Celebration
Title: A Public Celebration
Day/Theme: Aug. 31, 2011 "floating away in every direction"
Series: Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice
Character/Pairing: Trucy, Apollo/Klavier
Rating: G
Author's comment: Aaaah, I'm worn out now. Thanks again for the nice themes,
measuringlife!
"Polly, look!" Trucy pointed up into the air. She seemed pretty excited, not that that was out of character for the young magician. Apollo looked anyway. He always looked. Just as Trucy found so many aspects of the world around her innocently thrilling, it was his nature to investigate the world around him and take note of the details of things big and small.
This time, Trucy's gasps were swiftly echoed by his own. "W-wow!"
The blue summer sky was filled with shining dollops of color. Dozens of balloons were pouring out of an open window on one of the nearby buildings and up into the sky. At first they headed straight upward, but when a small breeze moved between the apartments, they began to spread out, coloring the view from left to right even as they continued to rise and shrink from sight.
"Isn't that funny? It's like someone out there remembered it was your birthday and decided to do something special just for you!"
"Has anyone else even noticed this but us?" Apollo looked around. Cars went along their way down each side of the street. Either no one noticed, or no one had time to pull over and watch the cloud of balloons go by. On the other side of the street, one small boy and his mother were watching, but that seemed to be the extent of the crowd.
That would all change in a moment when, after a microphone crackled to life with a burst of static, an instantly familiar voice made a loud announcement: "Guten Tag, Herr Forehead! I was sure that sooner or later you'd be passing by! This song goes out specially for you!"
"Wow, Polly! I thought there was something familiar about that building! It's like your own personal concert!"
"Isn't this breaking some kind of decibel-level ordinance?" Apollo asked, but his protests were lost in the strains of an electric guitar accompanied "Happy Birthday."
