"Sasarai!" Lucas Orsini waved raucously and rushed along the path to catch up with his colleague, "Funeral?" he looked his friend's garb up and down. The robes he was wearing were a bit fancy for everyday services. There was no major observance for any saint set aside for that day either.

"Yes." The brunette was considerably more somber than Lucas, but that would likely have held true whether they were discussing festival candy or funeral rites.

Lucas' smile drooped. "Anyone I knew?"

"I don't know. I don't know who you know. ...I always thought you knew everyone living."

"Ha ha," Lucas offered up an awkward laugh, "Ya think?"

"As for myself, I'm starting to feel I'm better acquainted with the dead."
