Day/Theme: Aug. 7, 2011 "all my life I've been a stranger to myself"

Something was going on just outside his door. Sasarai lifted his head slightly off the pillow and listened. He hadn't been able to escape his problems with sleep like he had hoped, but at least he was alone and it was quiet. Was someone here to speak with him? He couldn't help but imagine it was someone unwanted. Perhaps it was a sign that he was becoming too withdrawn these days. Most possibilities struck him as unwanted.
"The bishop," Dios said, arms crossed and chest puffed out in a posture he hoped would brook no opposition, "Is not seeing anyone right now."
Sasarai smiled. And Dios thought he wasn't strong or capable. Why was it that the kindest and bravest of men out there were the ones doubting themselves? ...If only there were some clear way for the bishop to make him see.
