What Hikari remembers most about the first time they fought Vamdemon was that she learned exactly how many people had her back. Her parents, Taichi, Taichi's friends -- who became her friends -- Tailmon. Trying to protect them alone didn't work; helping each other to protect themselves let them succeed.
Now, looking at the crowd of children and Digimon, knowing their families stood vigil, she felt the shadows of doubt within her heart, stirred by BelialVamdemon's first attack, retreat from the light of ten thousand voices, a million voices, acting in concert.
Together, they were strong. They could do this.
