Series: crossover- Fullmetal Alchemist x Apollo Justice
Character/Pairing: Solf J. Kimblee & Machi Tobaye

Author's comments: This has something to do with my on-going project. ...probably.

"You should be wearing a white coat," Kimblee remarked.

"Is for the purpose of our matching?" Machi looked his companion over from head to toe. It wasn't the exact white ensemble he had been wearing the night they met, but here he was again, adorned immaculately from head to toe, in all but straight white. His shoes were not white, nor was his tie. For some unexplainable reason, Machi was seized with the desire to know whether or not his socks were white as well. It was stupid. He wouldn't act on it.

"It would look nice," Kimblee dodged, "I don't think that this color really goes with the rest of your ensemble."

"Ah, so suddenly you are expert on fashion," the young man retorted. Kimblee thought he was so clever. Well, Machi huffed, he could see through Kimblee's bluffs any day of the week.

"Fashion..." he mused, stroking his chin, "Not conventional tastes in popular fashion, really, but I do know what I like. And you have a unique sense of style as well, Machi. Perhaps I'm uninformed and it's simply Borginian, but I've always assumed it was personal, not national taste."

"Yes," Machi admitted, "Is personal." His fancy, ruffled look was not exactly any more standard male attire back in Borginia than it was here in the United States.

"I like that you do as you please. Your style suits you very nicely. It makes a statement about you."

"You are thinking about it too hard."

"In particular," Kimblee continued unabated, "I like your dark sunglasses. ...and what they say about you."

"I am not sure," Machi trembled, "If I like to hear you say this."
