[April 2] [Fullmetal Alchemist/Apollo Justice] Speaking Plainly
Title: Speaking Plainly
Day/Theme: April 2, 2011 "untranslated"
Series: crossover - Fullmetal Alchemist x Apollo Justice
Character/Pairing: Solf J. Kimblee & Machi Tobaye
Rating: PG-13
Author's comment: On-going self-indulgence. Continuation of... part 1, part 2
There were no two ways about it. The fact that Machi was being followed was not good. This Kimblee was not making a secret of it either. Just what Machi needed to add to the list of unfortunate things that had happened to him in his life thus far- being mugged or kidnapped or murdered or at the very least stalked or whatever other awful things people did to each other in this country.
Machi kept walking. He had timed his exit from the building so that he would reach the bus stop without more than five minutes to spare, assuming the bus arrived on schedule. He tried to manage his schedule in a manner that didn't leave much time for being harassed by bums before the bus came to take him within walking distance of his home. So far all his creepy fan had done was make him angry though. This was incredibly stupid and unfair. "What is it that makes me a magnet for older men?" Machi thought.
As long as he remained merely annoyed, his thoughts remained coherent, however, as the bus pulled up and Kimblee accompanied him on the ride, anger began to fizzle into fear. The entire time, Kimblee kept a very precise distance from him, never intruding onto his personal space, but clearly watching carefully. There were only two other passengers on the bus at this hour. Machi uncharitably pegged them as a drug dealer and a prostitute. Their presence did nothing to reassure him.
His stop came up quickly. And he was followed off the bus. "Please, Mr. Tobaye, speak with me a moment longer," Kimblee called after him, stopping the young man in his tracks on the front step of the building he called home.
Fear scrambled his facility with English. "What do you want?! Keep away from me! Keep away! I am not like that any longer!" he cried out in Borginian. He had broken laws in the past, he had cheated and lied and done anything he needed to keep himself alive back in Borginia. He had traded with Daryan in ways he would not traffic again. He was not a boy any longer. "I shouldn't be afraid like this," he told himself, but it did nothing to calm him. He was caught in a frenzy of emotion. His shades did nothing.
His stalker's narrow eyes widened. He couldn't understand a word of this accusatory tirade. "I beg your pardon?"
[to be continued.]
I suppose this is "on-going stories month."
