“I can’t believe he’s accusing me of sekuhara,” wailed a distraught Kotoko. “I mean, I saved his life!"
Yuuki looked at his sister-in-law blearily, but his better nature prevailed and he merely shrugged.
“I mean, I barely got two breaths in and hardly enough compressions and he revived—”
“Maybe because he wasn’t really dying?”
“But I shook him and asked him if he was okay and he didn’t answer! I had to start CPR!”
“He was miming.”
“That’s beside the point! And sekuhara? Sekuhara!? Just because he’s some national stage actor or whatever?”
“He thought you were kissing and groping him?”
“Oh, oh, oh! Don’t you dare tell, Naoki about this. If he finds out my lips touched the lips of another man, what will he say?”
“I think he’ll be more disappointed about the fact that a nursing student like you tried to give CPR to a guy who was breathing and had a pulse.”
Kotoko looked like she just got punched. “Uwah,” she cried despairingly. “He’ll be so disappointed, won’t he? Yuuki, please keep it a secret?”
“We’re in jail, you idiot! How secret can anybody get?”
