When time is, theoretically, infinitely divisible, there is no reason to curtail streams of thoughts in favor of decisions to be made, sensations to be encapsulated into concrete units the logical brain can act on. It is unbelievably liberating to be able to think without self-imposed limits, to be unshakably certain that nothing beyond waits for a course of action, even a thought of commitment.

Even better than the countless hours of playing catch with these notions---a marriage of true minds, one trite phrase against the backdrop of their created worlds, come to mind---are the silences. The sensation of stillness, the long stretches of an absolute lack of motion, plays a fickle game with their vestibular systems, creates an illusion of free fall.

Or is stillness the illusion?

It is perfectly reasonable they feel ancient upon waking, like settled dust coating their cluttered "real-world" desk.

"Is it cheating?" Mol asks.

Dom has no answer. He files it away, merely another question to touch in their snippets of immortality.
