[September 26] [Original] Minor Fall

Title: Minor Fall
Day/Theme: September 26//Loneliness and Desire
Series: Original
Character: Gale
Rating: G
Summary: A single object is a focal point; a group of three is the strongest shape. A pair just balances each other out.

Gale used to think of herself in plural.

It's easier to think of yourself as really one person split in two, or one half of the whole; you may be so evenly divided that you're just about ready to slip away from each other like a piece of paper cut straight through, but there's none of the crushing press of solitude.

So she tattles at her conscience and scolds her stomach and acts like everything is positively normal.

It's somewhat like splitting a single column to support a roof. You might not have more that an inch of head room left, but at least it's not going to drop down onto you.

But people aren't made to be alone; you're fractured on the edges like a puzzle piece or key, and you're set to look for the person whose edges interlock best into yours (and if you're really lucky, you might find someone who fits perfectly).

Then again, you're only alone as you let yourself be.

A/N: the summary is totally cheap-ized Art School stuff.
