[Sept. 4] [Suikoden III] Clairvoyant
Title: Clairvoyant
Day/Theme: Sept. 4, 2010 "I wished for eyes that could see into a man's heart."
Series: Suikoden III
Character/Pairing: Yun & Chris

Having knowledge of future of events was not the same as seeing into people's hearts. When she finally met Chris, Yun felt it would not have been such a bad thing to trade the one she had for the other. She could see a general outline of nearby outcomes sketched out in front of her, but telling Chris these things would not move her heart.
Yun was patient, able to continue to grapple with the situation without feeling the heat of frustration rising within her, but it was painful. Chris wanted to hear about her father, and to a certain degree, Yun could give her that. But when it came to fate, and what they both would have to do...Yun could think of no way to convey her feelings to her friend. For all that she felt she knew Chris, there was still so much distance between them. What was in Chris' heart? How could she reach her?
She saw the future. She saw that there was no real way to make Chris understand with words. There was no way to halt was what to come. Yun would have to continue to walk down the path before her. Chris would have to walk her own and wait and see. There was no way to communicate straight from one heart to another. There was no way for one person to know, completely and comprehensively, another person's heart.
