[Aug. 30] [Suikoden III] Headquarters
Title: Headquarters
Day/Theme: Aug. 30, 2010 "where people go"
Series: Suikoden III
Character/Pairing: Thomas, Sasarai
Rating: G
There was no denying that Budehuc Castle had become something of a local hot-spot. Thomas, the master of the castle, was still awed by the degree of success he had achieved in convincing people from all the neighboring lands to come live, work, and play on his strip of neutral land. "This is because of the work you did," he was reminded from time to time, but words weren't enough to make the feeling real for him. He knew how many others had been involved in the enlivening of Budehuc? Without the efforts of Apple and Caesar and Cecile and Sebastian and so many others, Thomas knew the castle would be nothing. It would still be rundown. He probably wouldn't even be running it anymore. His father had wanted to take the place away from him anyway, as soon as any sort of trouble rose up there.
Lately, he'd been hearing some rumors about another place where people were congregating, something like Budehuc. A place many people hadn't gone before. A settlement on the edge of a lake in northeastern Harmonia. He couldn't say he'd thought it would never happen. Harmonia was past due for a shaking-up in the eyes of many. However, Thomas had never expected to see it happen in his lifetime.
He wondered how things would turn out there. He thought about the allies he had gained from Harmonia during the big war. Would they be headed to this place as well, just like the others? Or would things go the other way this time. Dios had been sort of awkward to speak with, but Thomas had come to sincerely like Sasarai. He hoped whatever news of him came this way would warm his heart, not break it.
Wherever a Tenkai Star went, that was where the people would go...
