[Aug. 24] [Suikoden II] A Festival Awaits Us
Title: A Festival Awaits Us
Day/Theme: Aug. 24, 2010 "where we will, we'll roam"
Series: Suikoden II
Character/Pairing: Oulan, Riou, Nanami, etc.
Rating: G
"Hey, Riou! Where are you going?" Oulan couldn't help but notice that their leader was headed out in the company of several young girls without having spoken to her about it. He wasn't armored up or even carrying his tonfa. Strong as Riou was, armed with powerful runes and trained in basic hand to hand combat by his grandfather, it was dangerous for him to let his guard down. When one grew complacent and relaxed too much, that was when trouble struck.
"Hi Oulan!" Nanami grinned. "How do you like my festival clothes?" She held out her arms and spun around, showing off a loose yellow dress pulled tight at her waist by a thick pink ribbon.
"We're going to a local festival in Radat Town," Riou explained. "Shu brought it up by accident and once Nanami'd heard about it, she wasn't going to let the opportunity to have a little fun and soak up some regional color pass us by."
"Shu was so mad about it," his older sister giggled.
"It is a nice outfit," Oulan answered. As she took the time to look around, she realized that Riou and the other girls at his side, Viki, Annallee, Meg, and Millie, were also dressed in a manner similar to Nanami. It must've been a regional look. She was reminded of Yoshino's clothes.
"If you'd like to come, we'd be happy to have you," Riou offered.
"Well, a festival sounds safe enough, but you can never be too careful," Oulan replied. She didn't want to come off sounding too harsh, so she voiced her concerns with a smile. She certainly understood the random pleasures of youth. "And," she added, just to make sure everyone involved knew that business wouldn't be her only reason for joining them on this pleasurable side trip, "I'm sure it will be a lot of fun too."
