The Doctor didn't have a home. This had been the case for a long, long time. Even back when he had a planet, he wouldn't have called it "home". It sort of stopped feeling like that when he'd run away. And the TARDIS, well. She was more of a friend than a home, even if he spent most of his time there.
If River had a place she called home, she wasn't telling. The Doctor asked, of course. A lot. He was very annoying about it. He didn't find out.
Neither of them needed a home to be happy, anyway.
