Notes: Just a drabble this time!
He ran all across the spaceship, picked up a few gadgets of potential usefulness here and there, took the wrong turn at least four times, stopped to talk to a couple of very confused ensigns, and still managed to open the right door in time. He was pretty awesome, sometimes, if he may say so himself.
"River! Fancy meeting you here," he said, as if he hadn't made absolutely sure to show up at the exact second when she'd be standing there. She left very specific messages, after all. "Ready to save the world?"
She just grinned at him.
"Always."
