Sun.

Ah, how wonderful it felt to have the sun beat down on his skin. Once upon a time, the sun had been an annoyance... the harshness of it was rather unwelcoming, but now... after escaping, the sun felt kind and generous. It felt like it was smiling down on him and giving him the strength. The same way the wind was blowing her kisses at him, soothing the top of his hairless head. He ran a hand over his head. Soon, he'd have a head full of hair where lady wind could blow each tress around and he'd be grateful. He smiled as he looked over at Joe and Turtle, both also as happy as he was... if not happier.

And though he would love to stay out in the sun, he wanted to be by his side.

He walked back in the house, shutting the sliding doors just slightly. He walked over to the futon where he laid. Sitting down beside the man he looked down at the pale face. What he needed was the sun and wind. Surely with the sun's warmth and the wind's refreshing coolness, Anchan would heal.

He would definitely heal.

Mario frowned. He didn't know what would happen if he lost Anchan now... he had become something cemented in his life. He grounded them all and brought them all together. If not for Anchan, he would have never made friends with everyone in Cell 6. He was grateful to the older man and saw him something like a father... a brother... a best friend... a counselor... a...?

Ah, Anchan was many things to him. That he was positive of. He smiled down at the sleeping face. He brushed his injured hand over the other man's hair, murmuring gently. “Don't worry Anchan, we'll help you heal. We'll all grow stronger for not only your sake but our own as well.”

Mario lowered his head, brushing foreheads with the other man, gently squeezing his shoulders in a pseudo-hug before pulling away and heading back out to his other friends, unaware of the smile that now resided on his dear Anchan's lips.

(THE END)
