Title: Mock Meat and Men

"Hey Sokka old buddy, glad you managed to come!"

"What kind of brother would miss his sister's wedding?"  Sokka gives Aang his most charming toothy grin. 

"Knowing you, you probably just came for the food."  Katara embraces her brother warmly. 

"Yeah.  Well.  That too."  He mumbles gruffly, suddenly lost for words.  Then the heavily laden table catches his eye while all the time the savory aromas of stews and roasts waft towards him. 

"So.  When do we eat?"

"Mmm, chewy, juicy, but not as meaty as I thought it might be...  What is it?"  Sokka pauses, a half eaten brown cube of something skewered on his fork.

Aang looks a bit embarrassed but Katara interjects.  "Its vegetarian duck."

"Like the duck was raised to be vegetarian before we butchered it?  No offence, but that might account for the strange taste." 

"No, like its made of gluten."  Sokka gives her a blank look, "Look, it's something to do with the way they process flour.  They can mimic almost anything with it."

"So.  It's not meat?" 

"No.  You barbarian.  Is that all you think about?"

"Arrgh,  Aang, are you trying to starve me?"
