Donna watched the doctor stare at the ant colony. The spiky haired time lord seemed immensely preoccupied with the marching ants.
“Doctor.”
“Well…”
“Doctor.”
“Right, right.”
“DOCTOR!!”
He looked up. “Now why do you have to go about shouting?”
“I am not shouting! Now why don’t we take your silly blue box to another planet like you promised? We’re in the middle of nowhere.”
“Nowhere is always somewhere Donna Noble. I said we should go back to ancient Egypt but you said you wanted to get a tan. I don’t know how that’s going to happen seeing as your ginger. That’s not a bad thing, I always wanted to be a ginger but the point still stands.” He stood up and shook out his coat.
“Whatever, listen, say goodbye to your little ant friends and let’s get going!”
“They are NOT my friends, Donna. I just have an appreciation for all living things. And so what if they were?”
“You said you wanted a mate right? I’m glad you found them.” Donna snickered and headed towards the Tardis, with a whining centuries old time lord in tow.
