[July 1] [Avatar TLA] Guys Night Out
Title: Guys night out
Day/Theme: July 1/The ants are my friends
Series: Avatar TLA
Character/Pairing: Aang, Sokka, Zuko, Toph
Rating: G - set somewhere post series.
Aang drops silently to the pavement, landing in a gentle puff of air. He glances around furtively, pulling his hood up over his head, before tip toing his way towards Sokka.
"What took you so long? I've been waiting forever."
"Do you know how many guards there are in this blasted complex?"
"You're the Avatar, just tell them you're going out for a drink or something."
"Aww Sokka, it's more fun this way. More like the old days..."
"Fine. Airbenders. Sheesh. I hope you're thirsty, because I like totally need a drink right now. A drink and something to eat."
A hooded figure emerges from a pool of shadow to their left. "What's with insulting my guards, hrm?"
"Who decided to bring Sparky huh?"
"Sparky?" Aang stifles a chuckle while Zuko's lone eyebrow twitches dangerously. "I thought we might get a Fire Nation native to show us the nightlife. You know. For a good guys night out."
Taking a deep breath, Zuko regains his composure. "As a matter of fact, Uncle Iroh recommended a few good places, and we'd better be going." His eyes take on a shifty look as he glances furtively over his shoulder,
"Don't worry. Mai's playing pai sho with Iroh who can be trusted to keep a secret, Katara's sleeping in her quarters and no one has yet noticed that you're all gone." Toph drawls lazily, a huge grin plastered onto her face, "Except. Maybe. Me."
The three look at each other, then back at the barefooted blind girl who also happens to be the most powerful earth bender and the only one who might take it into her head to sound the alarm.
Zuko shrugs, Aang looks at Sokka. Sokka sighs lustily.
"Ok. Alright. You're in. Now can we get a move on?"
...
"Now, this, here, Hic. Is what I call alcohol! Good stuff." Sokka says, swaying gently. Aang by this time has already passed out on the table. Zuko looks over at Toph who, apart from the faint flush tinging her cheeks, seems pretty much sober.
As if if reading his mind she replies. "Don't look at me. I can still walk myself home tonight. Which is probably more than anyone can say for these two here."
Silently, he hoists Aang onto his back.
Sokka looks at them through bleary eyes.
"Aww. We're going already? I was going to buy these pink and purple dancing mushrooms a drink. They're teaching me a new song! Listen, it goes..."
Toph rolls her eyes heavenwards. "There's always someone who can somehow manage to hallucinate on light beer." With a quick stamp, knocks Sokka smartly on the head with a rock. He collapses to the ground and begins to snore loudly, even as the ground he's lying on is raised up to levitates about a foot into the air.
"Mai's so going to have my hide for a rug."
"Hey, I won't tell if you don't say anything."
