“Luck…keee!”
It's sunrise and the streetlights flicker off as Harumi pulls into the open parking space, just down the street from Akira-kun’s apartment.
She checks her watch. Plenty of time for the drive to the airport. Actually, Akira-kun wasn’t expecting her for another fifteen minutes. She pulls on the rearview mirror to check her lipstick.
A bright flash catches her eye as a young couple steps out onto the sidewalk. She watches discretely, as they embrace... kiss…
Funny. There was something familiar about them…
Akira-kun!
And the other…
Shindou-kun!
Ah well, she thinks, Hirose-san won the “office pool” after all.
