[May 23] [JE: KAT-TUN] Eyes wide shut
Title: Eyes wide shut
Day/Theme: May 23rd / My eyes fly open

His eyes fly open, he sits up and his shallow and fast breathing fills the room.
It's not real, he thinks, looks down at his shaking hands, the harsh grip on the covers. It's not.
It might as well be, he thinks.
The bed is big enough for two people but he's all alone, shivering and close to hyper-ventilating in the dead of the night, lonely and on his own, no one around to witness his lapse of control, his demons in the dark.
It's not real, he tells himself again, tries to losen his hands from the sheets. It's hard to do when all he wants to do is have something to hold onto, one last shred of sanity.
It can't be.
His gazes travels around the room, onto the wardrobe - one half of it empty, to the dresser where he hasn't bothered to properly fold his clothes. It really is just him.
He lies back on the mattress, stares at the shadows on the ceiling. His breathing evens out, his eyes start to close.
He's back in his dream before he knows it and Jin's there with him, all big hair and happy eyes and it's such an overwhelming sense of déjà vu that Kame clenches his eyes even in his dream, tries to wish himself awake, but he can't help but hear the screeching of the brakes and soft body hitting hard asphalt.
His eyes fly open and he's back in the room with the shadows and the half-empty wardrobe and the bed that's too big for just him.
