[May 21] [Super Junior] In The Wake of Loss
Title: In The Wake of Loss
Day/Theme: May 21 | I am choosing not to suffer uselessly
Series: ...Super Junior? lol.
Character/Pairing: Kyuhyun, possibly squinty Kyuhyun/HanGeng

‘You’re leaning back too far. It makes your lines sloppy.’
‘Just like your Korean,’ he would have replied not so long ago, but now the critic is only in his head. He straightens himself back into position and repeats the steps again, intent on remaining in the empty practice room until he looks as flawless as the others in the modified four-man lineup.
But with each turn he can see that even as he masters the moves, he lacks the finesse. His reflection reveals the awkwardness of his lanky limbs as he tries to mimic a ghost in his mind’s eye and fails. The two bodies refuse to agree, and he feels the anger just as strongly as he feels the ache that is creeping up his throat again.
He lacks grace in every way the word can be defined. But this is what he has chosen.
He swallows thickly and begins again, pulling the worthless words and the ache back inside of him. There’s no one there for any of it to reach anymore.
