When she was a little girl, Chihiro used to beg her parents to let her go out in the rain. She loved to splash through puddles, hear the water bouncing off an umbrella or feel it running down her hair and face.
Now that she is older and knows so much more, she still loves the rain. She pictures it drenching the earth, running through underground tunnels and somehow finding even the lost Kohaku River.
Sometimes she stands outside and catches rain in her hands, despite what the neighbors may think, and pictures it falling from her hands into his.
