He knew. Judas knew he knew. No one else was even thinking about it, even had the slightest clue who might betray their beloved Son of God. Or maybe they did know. Maybe they did think Judas was capable of such things. But the apostle knew for sure that he knew. The way he looked pointedly in his direction, accusing him in those looks. Judas could hardly bare it, he snapped, and yelled back.
How could he know? He was just another man! How in the world did this man know of his guilt? Of the part he was playing in this unholy act? It made his skin crawl, made him nervous, made him feel stripped and naked. He knew very well what was going to happen, didn’t he? Judas was angry, so angry, that someone besides himself should know of this guilt he felt. It was supposed to be secret and his alone to bear.
