Day/Theme: April 9th - The end of something.

The shouts and horns tell him what he has been waiting to hear all day: the battle is over and he and his comrades have granted the revolution enough momentum that little could stop it.
They quiet down as the men quickly leave the field - they may have won, but Kenshin doubts any of them is truly proud of today's deeds. The day is but a blur to him, a succession of swings, strikes, screams, blood.
But it is over.
Relief washing over him, he looks up at the winter sky above, pure crystalline blue. Fitting,
for Battosai dies tonight.
