Introductions
After the ceremony, it was Hikaru’s mother who had suggested that Touya look for Shindou in the storage house. She knew about the goban and although her father had only spoken of it lightly, she had guessed as to its importance to her son.
The room inside was dark and Touya stood uncertainly at the door until the sound of Shindou’s voice drew him further. He was talking to someone…
“Grandfather’s reading skills suck. So you’ll work on that with him, right? He loves the game. Maybe not as much as you but…"
Touya leaves quietly and closes the door.
