Day/Theme: April 2, 2010 "Walking on higher ground"
Series: Original
Character/Pairing: Israel, Ehbrem, Eden

Hello Eden. I hope this letter finds you well. I'm sorry I couldn't spare the time to deliver it to you myself, but at the moment I'm caught up in some things back in Simbari. Do you remember my uncle, Ehbrem? I think I mentioned him to you way back when we met after the fire attacked you in Sastis. He's getting married now (it's a bit late for him by Simbari standards), and since the bride is a Catalonian girl, he wants me there for every meeting with her family. It's because he believes they'll like me or like that I'm a courier or I understand Catalonian ways best or something. It's really pretty funny.
When I was a little boy I used to bother Ehbrem about everything. He's my mother's youngest brother, so he's somewhat like an older brother to me. I pestered him. I looked up to him. I adored him. Then there was that whole matter of him setting the house on fire. Even though it wasn't his fault, it had a terrible effect on me. I became scared of him and stopped following him all over town.
But later, when I grew up a bit and wasn't so young and stupid, we became friends again. He wrote me letters while I was living in Tsukekoji (in Sylacie) and we would talk about family and girls and other stuff. Maybe it was me who got him interested in Catalonian girls, come to think of it. Well, when we wrote letters, Ehbrem and I were equals. Even though he's older, we were both thinking of the other as an adult.
Now our relationship's like the old one, just twisted in a mirror. Eden, he asks me about everything! You'd think now that he'd grown up as sheltered as you. I try my hardest not to let it bother me. I figure I owe him after all these years, but it's really unusual. When did I get to be so old that I would be respected?
I'm sure you think all of this is rife with laughs. Well, after the wedding I'll be certain to tear myself away and come directly to your side and you can giggle all over me in person. Once again, I'm begging your divine forgiveness. Eden, you take care. I will too.
Your Israel.
P.S. How isChico Chiyome? Is he still calling himself "Chiyome?" I want to see him too, but don't let him get a swelled head about it.
