He should say something. Kaoru is lying close to him, her head in the crook of his neck, her soothing hand tracing lazy circles on his bare chest, fingers running over skin and scars alike.
She is his, more than Tomoe ever was. He has spent the past hour showing her just how much he loves her, needs her, with tender and heated kisses.
The possibilities now offered to them… He feels elated just thinking about them.
All thanks to her, who welcomed him home and redefined his world.
