[Jan 4] [The Princess and the Frog] Taught Him That
Title: Taught Him That
Day/Theme: January 4 / a noise in the schools
Series: Princess and the Frog
Character/Pairing: Naveen/Tiana, OC
Rating: PG
Tiana was angry. In all her 29 years of life she had never imagined picking up her kid for being in trouble... she had never imagined she'd have a child act up. But after falling in love with Naveen... she should have expected as much.
She opened the door to the living compound above the restaurant, watching her 6-year-old son trudge in. Naveen looked up, their 3-year-old daughter on his lap. He rose an eyebrow. “So? What did Principal Carlson have to say?”
Tiana sighed. “That Kiran hasn't been listening in on lessons. He ignores the teacher's requests and insists that because he is the Prince of Maldonia, he doesn't have to listen.”
Naveen sighed. “Kiran.”
Kiran pouted. “What? I am the Prince of Maldonia!”
Tiana sat down, patting beside her. “We never said you weren't. But you need to listen to the teacher, all right? Do you want to grow up to be a good man?”
“... I guess so.”
Tiana kissed him atop his head. “Then make sure you listen to your teacher. But as punishment, you head straight to bed.”
“Ah!”
“No story telling or reading tonight. You just think about what you did.”
Kiran pouted one last time before finding it futile and headed to his room. Naveen chuckled, bouncing their daughter, Taraka, on his knees. The dark haired girl squealed happily. Naveen smiled down at her. “I have no idea where he gets his attitude from.”
Tiana rose an eyebrow and glared at Naveen. Naveen finally looked up and met her gaze. “What?”
She sighed, rolling her eyes and laughed lightly. “Nothing.”
Naveen pulled a small pout, a mirror image of their son just a second ago... and Tiana couldn't help but laugh a little harder.
(THE END)
Note: Any time I use names for fanfic(like OCs), I look up a name. I will always be using Hindi/Indian names for Naveen's family/ Tiana&Naveen's kids. (Naveen is a Hindi/Indian name meaning New, or at least from what I've found)
Kiran means Ray
Taraka means ray of light(something to that extent)
