A/N: Not quite what I expected. Especially when I was attempting for a Train/Rinslet pairing.
Summary: She didn't want to turn to him, with all his tricks and traps.

It is an unlikely partnership. She knows this, more than he does, but it is one that is necessary.

"So, what's in it for me?" He lounges on his seat, his feet propped on the table, and lapping his milk. Even though he looks relaxed, she can tell he's tense and watching her with curious but wary eyes.

"What would you like?" She leans forward as she says this, wondering if maybe he is one to fall for looks. The way he doesn't react tells her know and she sits back a little. "What would the great Train want?"

"Food," he says without hesitation. (Surprise, surprise)

"...I see." This might be easier than she thought. "Nothing else?"

"Of course not." He leans forward this time, a hand cradling the left side of his face. "But I can't tell you what." He grins mischievously. "What are you getting?"

"...I don't need to tell you."

"Aww, come on. We're partners in this," he pleads but the twinkle in his eyes stays. "I want to know."

"I doubt that." She snorts. This is a game he wants to play but she won't go for it. Not this time. "We've barely met, why would I trust you?"

Train stops at that, pausing to read her expression carefully. Then, without missing a beat, he answered.

"We only have each other out there."
