Jim was running late. He finishes shooting the playing rooms and finds his way outside where Charlie’s talking with Amano-san. A young man stands nearby, checking his watch.

“This is Touya Akira,” Charlie says. “This year’s challenger for the Meijin title.”

“James McNeill.” Jim shakes the young man’s hand. He’s polite enough, Jim decides, taking the camera out of his bag. But cool, indifferent…

As he checks through the viewfinder, he sees that Touya-san’s arguing with a kid with bleached hair.



Yeah…



Jim takes the shot.



He’s got it now… these two are the heart and soul of the game.
