[September 17] [Silent Hill 4] Night Ring
Title: Night Ring

Notes: I wrote part of this in a dream, literally. After that I had to put it up.
Henry Townshend will never quite get used to middle-of-the-night phone calls, even long after he knows that he is safe. Eileen likes to call him sometimes very late, just to hear his voice, and he doesn’t begrudge her that at all, but when the phone rings he always panics, thinking "Someone is hurt; someone is dying; I’m being called back to that place I will never go to again."
But Cynthia is long lost and he will never hear her voice again, and no one is calling for rescue. Still, each time, until he answers and hears the voice of Eileen or a wrong number, he lies with his mouth dry and his heart pounding, terrified to pick up the phone and hear "Help me."
