In fairness, I should not have expected you to turn away from me at first sight, particularly not when we had met before when I was like this. (And you… I am not quite sure what to make of it, but I am glad that you did. Thank you.) The Pooka… are the people of Valentine, only cursed. It would be natural for you to speak- perhaps not freely, but- with us as you please.
Still. Asking you to love one- to love me, like this- would surely have been to ask too much of you. That you should… I would never wish to see anyone think ill of you for choosing this path.
