[August 13] [Okami] Beginning the Journey
Title: Beginning the Journey
Day/Theme: August 13- in between the moon and you
Series: Okami
Character/Pairing: Kaguya, Mr. Bamboo, Amaterasu

Spoilers: Implied for the trip to Sasa Sanctuary after dealing with the Emperor.
The only life that she has ever known has been with her grandfather. Leaving it is the right thing to do, she knows, in… she thinks it’s her heart she knows it in, but her heart is also busy hurting that she’s leaving Grandfather. She’s sure that this is the right thing, or at least something that she has to do- the call of this strange metal bamboo shoot is too strong to really resist, and she is curious about what lies at the end of the journey it’ll take her on.
The strange white wolf that rescued her is there, too, watching her and Grandfather- Kaguya thinks almost with a compassionate eye. She wonders if that can be possible. It could be, she decides, looking up at the metal shoot again.
The sound the wolf makes when she gets in sounds almost like a blessing, and Kaguya watches it and Grandfather for as long as she can before they grow too small.
