Shadow of Doubt – part 2

Touya finds Shindou in their hotel room, sitting in the dark. He turns a light on before sitting at the table across from him, the goban between them.

Shindou slams a stone down on the board. Touya looks up, surprised by the sound.

“Play!”

Touya answers Shindou’s move and the game continues, stone by stone.

“Arimasen.” Shindou resigns.

Touya reaches across the board to gently touch Shindou’s face, the quiet tears. “Why?”

“It was the same. I had to know…” He pulls Touya’s face close and kisses him. “I’m not a girl. I’m not Sai.”

Touya nods. “Shindou is Shindou.”
