[August 9] [D.N.Angel] To Approach Normal

Title: To Approach Normal
Day/Theme: August 9- but what would you change if you could?

There is no doubt in his mind that Hiwatari-kun- Hikari, something murmurs, and he can’t be sure it isn’t Dark- is hurting. Maybe nobody else can really see it- nobody who’s not used to watching people (especially Hiwatari-kun [because you can’t trust him not to throw a curveball at you, Dark says, with a grin that Daisuke doesn’t entirely trust]), but Daisuke does (first rule- watch everyone and everything, Emiko drilled into him), and he- well- he kind of knows Hiwatari-kun by now (even if he kind of really shouldn’t, Hiwatari-kun being the person out to catch Dark and all).

To him, it’s wrong (he doesn’t know what his mother and grandfather would think, though he suspects that they wouldn’t be overly worried- Dark certainly isn’t). It doesn’t matter to him why it is- not as much as that Hiwatari-kun, someone he considers a friend, is hurting.

He’ll worry about it when he gets Hiwatari-kun out of all that, he decides.

(Personally, Dark thinks Daisuke will be too busy being pleased that the Commander is something approaching normal.)
