“You're kidding me right?”

“No.”

Hiroki glanced over at the stoic boy... whose blue-purple eyes just glanced back at him with an unamused stare. Hiroki glanced back down at the pond just under the ledge. The two boys had been exploring near both of their homes and Akihiko had spied the pond first. Hiroki had jokingly told Akihiko he should go in it, to see how deep it is... and then Akihiko dared him to.

The only problem was... how deep was it? Did it have a lot of foliage where it could snag his foot and keep him underwater? He blinked, looking back at Akihiko, growling lightly. “I'll do it... but I'll come back to haunt you if I drown!”

Akihiko blinked and watched Hiroki jump and as the boy fell softly into a knee-high pond. Hiroki's nose wrinkled at the dirty water. He glared up at Akihiko, who merely shrugged at his friend's expression.

“I didn't make you go in, did I?”

Hiroki huffed, flushing lightly. Of course he didn't make him... but for Akihiko, he would jump into smelly ponds and more.
