Alri was standing there, with a loaf of bread from the kitchen. He rose from his kneel. “Yes?”
“You understand what’s going on as well as any of us? We are gods. Yet, you continue to live as you did before.” She motioned to the bread, the incense, the grape juice, his rosary beads.
He nodded. “I read philosophy on Earth. Confucius once said that rituals were important, not because of who we pray to, but why we pray. It reminds us of our morals. We need that now more than ever.”
