The dust the creature kicked up took on a glowing translucent quality as moon shone upon it as he galloped down one hill and up the next. The moon illuminated its white coat, and the tips of the grass of the field glowed. The hooves of the beast were dark, earthy in color, a stark contrast to his pure white coat. His eyes were dark and mysterious, his mane was flowing and bright. The horn on his head, iridescent. The magical beast looked ethereal. And the scene itself magical.
Timothy had often wished for a unicorn. Most things regarding magic and make-believe he found repugnant. Dragons were dangerous. Fairies, useless and complicated. Trolls, stupid. But unicorns - he would dream of watching them roam all night.
