[21 May] [Seiken Densetsu 3] On Route
Title: On Route
Day/Theme: May 21- Home Is. Run. No. More.
Series: Seiken Densetsu 3
Character/Pairing: Hawk/Lise
Rating: G
Notes: Post-game- mention of spoilers.
The Tree was gone, but so was the Dark Prince, and that was some relief. No replacement for the loss of Mana, of course, but that just meant that they’d have to find a way to work around it, and there was the promise the faerie’d given them that someday it would return.
Right now, though, Hawk was just really hoping that Flammie wasn’t reliant enough on Mana to suddenly drop out of the sky while carrying them back from the Holy Land.
Lise noticed, or possibly she assumed- in some ways, she was a very sharp sort of girl, especially in a fight- and patted him on the shoulder. “Don’t worry,” she said, giving him a bright smile he caught the edge of, “the legends never said anything about the Father of the Winged Ones- or his relatives,” she added, stroking the closest part of Flammie’s fur, “suddenly disappearing.”
“Really?” Hawk said, as he tried not to clasp onto Flammie too tightly. “I don’t suppose it was because they might’ve been on them when they did?”
Lise shook her head, and smiled again. “She’s young, I’m sure she’ll adapt. We’ll do our best to make sure she does.”
“Oh?” Hawk glanced back, grinning. “Thinking of keeping an eye on Navarre?”
He couldn’t have sworn to it- it might’ve only been the wind rushing past- but he thought he saw a flush on Lise’s cheeks. “Maybe,” she said softly, and Hawk turned back and grinned into the wind.
