"Stop playing around, Naoto-kun. You're just a kind! You'll get in the way!"
"You're a Shirogane! Throwing tantrums will do you nothing!"
"Get the case done! You're a detective, aren't you?"
"You're not needed. Go back to the garden and  play with the dogs."

The dark eyes slowly fluttered open. The dim light of sunrise peeked from the gap by the curtain of her window. The ticking of the clock was loud, clear... demanding. She had woken up.

"If you're not a detective, what's the meaning of being a Shirogane?!"

Somebody knocked the door, almost too faint to be heard.

"Yes, come in."

"You're the 5th in line of the Shirogane Detective. Don't put our name to shame."

The familiar tic toc of her grandfather's walking stick refreshed her mind. She quickly got up to her sitting position, jst in time to see her Grandpa walked in. He was smiling, warm and welcoming, and his voice was gentle.

"Good morning, Nao-chan."

"My Master wanted Naoto-sama to regain the joy she felt in the day past."

The light was peeking through the curtain of the window, falling to her soft blue bed sheet.

"Good morning, Grandpa."

"To regain the feeling that all she wanted was to be a detective, regardless of her heritage of gender.."

She was home.

She stopped running.

More than solely her body... he had brought her back home.
