The way people look is malleable enough- particularly here in Shibuya, where the fashion trends can be influenced just so with the results that you’d expect- that it’s almost not worth getting used to what people look like. Though it’s not that he has any particular interest in many of the people in Shibuya, and those he does… they tend to favour certain patterns, certain ways of presenting themselves to the world. When their essence is more malleable than those they watch and move around and blend in with, on occasion, he supposes that they- and to an extent, himself- want something, some sort of anchor, to refer back to themselves with.
Half listening to the city, he thinks that there should be something better for the same purpose.
