Character/Pairing: Kevin, Beast-King
Rating: G
His son- Kevin- cannot be a weakling. Regardless of what his mother was (and the Beast-King was in fact fond of her in his way, as it happened, and she had hardly been weak of body or mind herself), he is the son of the Beast-King, and the forest is not kind to those who cannot handle themselves, particularly the young, and even more so when protecting another young one. Still, Kevin cannot be left to idle away forever, and when the opportunity comes to test his son, the Beast-King is wary, but interested.
Nothing makes a person grow strong like adversity, after all.
