Nowaki clasped Hiroki's hand firmly in his. It wasn't that he was nervous, no he was far from nervous. He was excited to see the old place he grew up in.

And the fact that Hiroki had said he wanted to go too... well, that was the biggest surprise of them all. When they finally stood before the Kusama Orphanage, the nervousness finally kicked in and he clutched Hiroki's hand a little harder.

Hiroki blinked, looking at his lover, whose face has a wobbly smile on his lips and brow furrowed delicately. Hiroki rose an eyebrow, giving Nowaki's hand an affirmative squeeze before letting that hand go to turn to his lover. “Are you going to visit the old man or not?”

Nowaki's brow unclenched and his mouth dropped open, but quickly he smiled and nodded.

Hiroki smiled, even as he stood behind Nowaki, who talked to the owner of the orphanage as he lay on his dying bed. Nowaki had needed to do this and Hiroki knew he didn't need or want to be alone while doing it.

After all, Nowaki would need his Hiroki after this.
