Note: A drabble! 100 words bang on. Yay, me!
Fai would always say that they fell into orbit with each other, circling a fulcrum of feathers. They lurched toward each other when a loose collection of travelers took on the weight of being a team. They were polarities that were, somehow, as alike as twins. They orbited as close as the sun and as distant as stars.
But men are not of heaven made and there came a day when the orbit faltered, changed, and the stars collided.
Or, as Kurogane always said, one day when he kissed Fai just to make him shut up about the goddamned sky.
