An eye watches over Vash the Stampede.
Not a human eye or a god’s but a stone eye looking down from the fifth moon of Gunsmoke.
He likes to pretend he is human, to chase girls and drink and save lives when he needs to. At times he likes to proclaim love and peace, because he knows that is what humanity needs the most.
But when he forgets himself, when he starts to forget that he isn’t human, the fifth moon reminds him. Staring down at him, saying "This, this is what you are capable of."
Vash can never forget.
