[Sept. 8th] [Card Captor Sakura] Constellations

There was sanity in this fic somewhere, I tell you.
He points constellations out to her: Andromeda, Orion, the Little Dipper.
"I should like to have my own star," she said idly, stroking his hair. The grass under her feet was warm, reminding her of the distance of the earth and the heavens. "Maybe a comet," she mused.
He smiled, searching the sky. "I'll find you a star you can own," he promised. "Or a comet to wish on every hundredth year. I'll throw a stone at the sky and make one of them fall for your beauty. Failing that, I'll create one."
"And what shall I pay you for something so dear?" she asked, laughing. "Tell me how stars are born. Tell me how they feel."
"Stars come from only one light," he told her. "But they are born with only half of themselves. And so they search forever for their other half, amid the thousand stars already in the sky, and the thousands more being born every second. You see, all stars are meant for one other star. Without that one other, they are incomplete."
"Do they all fall?"
"They all fall, at some point or another, usually when they find their other half, they fall."
She looked down at his face, her hair falling about them like a curtain, separating them from the world. Slowly she lowered her head, whispered in his ear. "Be my twin star?"
"Always."
