Getting people to buy tickets to Kaleido Stage was easy. Keeping them amused and entertained throughout the production was considerably harder. Kalos knew that it was impossible to please everyone at once, so he examined the audience's reaction to every show, and tried to focus on getting the more enthusiastic sections of the crowd to come back for every new show. He was disappointed that Anna kept trying to ad-lib lines to make her characters come off funnier than they were in the script, but a few audience members personally came up to him to tell him how much they liked it, that it brought a smile to his face.
