[January 6th] [Sonic the Hedgehog] You Are My Sunshine
Title: Your Are My Sunshine
Day/Theme: January 6th, I’ll kiss you awake
Series: Sonic the Hedgehog
Character/Pairing: Shadow/Amy

The colors of the rising sun would slowly seep into her room, changing it from the dark blues of the night into the purple and oranges of morning.
She always fought the morning like most creatures who wanted nothing more then the comforting lull of sleep. It made him amused and curious to see each emotion that would flit over her sleeping face as she fought off her time of awakening.
Shadow smirked to himself, his eyes twinkled with innocent mischief as he decided to break routine. 'I'll surprise her today.' he mused.
She thought she knew all of his tricks and quirks after spending such a great deal of time with him.
He was the Ultimate Lifeform, and the Ultimate Lifeform did not become cliche or rundown in his tricks.
So, as her face scrunched up as it always did before her eyes opened along with the awakening of her mind, he leaned close to her and kissed her gently on the lips as her eyes fluttered open into morning.
It might have been a bit too much like a picture from a fairy tale, the way he was sitting on her bed, but...
"Shadow!" the kiss was broken and a loud k-thu-slap resounded in the room, "I haven't even brushed my teeth yet!"
The black and red hedgehog just laughed heartily at her and mussed up her hair-quills, "That really doesn't matter to me."
Amy growled at him, "Well I care about it!"
Shadow grinned just before he grabbed her by the waist and did a raspberry on her stomach.
The pink hedgehog screeched and flailed, "Shadow-!!!!"
He then quickly made use of his speed and high-tailed it out of the room, "You're going to be late for work if you don't hurry!"
Amy yelled in exasperation, "Shadow the Hedgehog, I'll get you for that, I swear I will! You can just be so unfathomable sometimes!"
Shadow just smirked and chuckled lightly as she slammed the bathroom door.
He enjoyed watching her as the sun rose and awoke the living into day, but he also enjoyed her while she was angry because...
Well... he supposed, the 'sky was the limit' on her emotional outbursts, and each day added one more memory for him to cherish forever.
