[Jan. 3][Suikoden V] Words of Love and Leisure

Title: Words of Love and Leisure
Day/Theme: Jan. 3, 2009 "her handwriting"
Series: Suikoden V
Character/Pairing: Cius, Lucretia/Lelei
Rating: PG-13

Looking over Lady Lucretia's papers, Cius was left with the impression that a person's writing said a lot about their character. His own was large and even, if a bit blocky. The prince's was small and curved- rather feminine, to tell the truth. Lelei's handwriting, once a bit messy and badly spaced, was beginning to show Lucretia's influence, with even spaces and sizes, but as strong and pointed as ever. As for Lady Lucretia's own handwriting, it was even and smooth, with all the letters running nicely together in a sleek cursive style. Her writing was almost...sexy. (Could the visual component of writing really be sexy?) It looked like the right kind of lettering for a romance novel.

Cius picked up one stray sheet that had blown to the ground and scanned over it quickly. Did the lady use her lovely writing on all of her papers? It didn't exactly seem well-suited to strategy...

He was just about to leave the page on the tactician's desk when the actual words written there came together before him. This was no plan or schedule, this was a love letter! Cius nervously dropped the letter onto the desktop. How embarrassing...And without meaning to, he had read some of it. It was very well-crafted, as well as extremely personal...

Cius averted his eyes from the table while he finished up the rest of his work in his lady's chamber. He straightened several stacks of books and dusted the shelves, doing his best to wipe the memories of the words Lady Lucretia had addressed to Lelei out of his mind.

There was a carefully corked bottle of ink on the floor by the bed. ...They had been writing on each other with ink. It had sounded like they might do it again. If he closed his eyes, he could just begin to imagine their twisting limbs...

But he shouldn't. His colleague and the lady tactician- how could he? It was wrong. It was...ugh, it was making his ears burn.

Cius closed the door tightly behind himself as he left he room, locking any thoughts about Lelei and Lucretia's personal lives tightly out of his mind.
